Cricket: Alumni Fynn Hudson-Prentice signs a Junior Professional Contract with Sussex CCC
We are delighted to announce that Bede's alumnus Fynn Hudson-Prentice has been signed on a junior professional contract with Sussex CCC.
Fynn started in the Junior County Age Group squads progressing onto Sussex County's Academy. He has been a regular fixture in the Second Eleven for the last few seasons and hit two unbeaten centuries during this time, and he then made his first-team debut in the Royal London One-Day Cup match against Glamorgan this August.
Fynn said, "I was elated to be offered a junior professional contract after being in the Junior Squads system since I was 10 years old. I am aware that the hard work starts now, and am delighted that Sussex have given me the opportunity to start the journey of what will hopefully be a long and successful career."
Bede's Director of Cricket Alan Wells said, "I am delighted that Fynn has been awarded a professional contract by Sussex, it has been a dream of his since he arrived at the Bede's in year 9. Fynn always demonstrated how committed he was to becoming a professional by working really hard in the nets throughout the year. I am proud of the fact that we at Bede's were able to support his ambition by allowing flexibility in his timetable and creating the opportunity for Fynn to fulfil his potential. I have no doubt he will go from strength to strength and have a long and fulfilling career. We are naturally delighted that Fynn has become the fifth student from Bede's to gain a professional cricket contract in the past eight years; following Ollie Rayner, Luke Wells, Shai Hope and Callum Jackson. We all wish him well."
