Teresa Chan visits Bede’s for the first time in almost 30 years

We were delighted to welcome former Bede’s pupil, Teresa Chan, to the Senior School during her January visit to the UK from Hong Kong. This was Teresa’s first visit to the school since she left in 1991.

"I do miss this school," Teresa said. "There has been a lot of changes. The pupils are lucky, as they have lots of space to spend their spare time. I was in Crossways House – which used to be located in the Manor House – and we only had a very small common room. We also had to travel to the local swimming pool (as there wasn’t a pool here), and the drama studio is very new."

The school tour was organised by Teresa’s friend, who she was staying with in Brighton, as a surprise. Teresa also spent time with her brothers in London before she left for Hong Kong on 21 January.

Teresa has promised to bring her daughter with her on her next visit, and we very much look forward to welcoming them both soon.

We always love welcoming former Bede's pupils back to the school - if you would like to arrange a visit, please contact us.
