Alex studied for her BA (Hons) in Dance Studies at Roehampton University.

After completing this course she gained her PGCE in Dance Teaching at the Royal Academy of Dance. She then went on to complete her Masters Degree in Dance Teaching at the Royal Academy of Dance in 2012.

Alex performed and choreographed for many corporate events in the UK and Switzerland before concentrating on a teaching career.

She was Head of Dance at a large comprehensive school for 6 years and taught GCSE, A Level and BTEC Performing Arts Dance as well as the Arts Award and Dance Leaders Award.

She was the Programme Leader for the Foundation Degree in Performing Arts Dance at K College, Tonbridge, and led units such as Contemporary Dance, Ballet, Dance Improvisation, Choreographing Dances and Physical Theatre. She also taught on the A Level Dance programme at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London from 2007-2012.

Alex has been an A Level Dance examiner since 2009 and a Standards Verifier for BTEC Performing Arts: Dance since 2012.
