At Bede's Prep School, we believe that Science is alive - it is so much of what we find exciting, mysterious, peculiar and stupendous in life.
We seek for every Science class to be creative, unpredictable and exciting, to make Science lessons an outlet not just for learning but for every pupil's creative side too.
Classroom demonstrations are the natural outlet for our creative Science teachers. Even more importantly, they are a valuable bridge between student concept knowledge and understanding.
We find that the more students are exposed to exciting and inspiring Chemistry demonstrations, the more motivated they are to learn, and the more they look forward to coming to class.
Then, through a combination of our expert staff and specialist facilities, we ensure that the children can be involved with experiments in hands-on ways at every opportunity.
In the Science department at Bede's Prep, our teachers have the freedom to really put their personality into their work. This allows the pupils to find every aspect of Science interesting. No day is ever the same, much like no child is the same, and we feel enormous satisfaction when our pupils looks up and the light bulb of understanding has come on.
It is then that we have the pleasure of explaining to them how exactly it is that the light bulb works.
On this page you will find the most recent examples of the exciting work currently being undertaken in the Science department at Bede's Prep School. Please make sure that you come back soon for more news, updates, or whenever you need inspiring.
