The Junior and Senior Cookery Clubs are firm favourites of Bede's pupils.

In fact, we have been reliably informed that many a University student has based their culinary repertoire on our menus!

If children can learn the basics at a young age, i.e. how to poach an egg , how to make white sauce or how to finely chop an onion, then they leave us with knowledge that will give them nothing but culinary confidence. The belief that "I can!"

Food is our fuel, we need to have a good understanding of what each food group does for our fabulous bodies and from that root grows the awareness to plan balanced meals.

Culturally, food is also very interesting and varied. Once you get the bug for the rewards of cooking good things, inspiration steps in and the world is your Aga!
