Friends of Bede's Prep Spring Ball
The Friends of Bede's Prep School held their Spring Ball at The Cavendish Hotel on 9 March 2013.
The entire school community was given the opportunity to vote for this year's chosen charity and Chestnut Tree House, the only children's hospice in Sussex, was the winner by far.
During the evening, the Bede's Senior School Band entertained the guests and the auction was expertly hosted by Neil Lenham and Nick Muston.
Amongst numerous generously donated lots, two kind donors bought a huge Steiff bear which they then gave to Chestnut Tree Hospice. The whole evening was a huge success, it displayed people's capacity to give to those who are more needy even in times when many are experiencing difficulties themselves, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Guy Clinch, Chairman, and Louise Collins, the Community Fundraising Manager for Chestnut Tree, were presented with a cheque for £14,121 the total amount raised throughout the year.
The Friends of Bede's Prep would like to thank parents, staff and guests for their continued generosity and fundraising.
