Dance: Joeley Gibson performs with London Children's Ballet

Secretgarden

Congratulation to Bede's Prep School pupil Joeley Gibson, who recently performed with the London Children's Ballet in their production of The Secret Garden.

Rehearsals for the production, which took place at the Peacock Theatre in Sadler's Wells, began on Sundays in early January and continued through to the performances at the end of April.

Joeley was lucky enough to perform with LCB in 2012 and was overjoyed to have a second, marvellous opportunity to showcase her dancing talent; LCB have a very strong reputation for staging excellent productions and this is reflected in the dancing pool they select for their ballet productions.

Louise Mizon, Head of Dance at Bede's Prep School, said of Joeley's achievement, "A lot of children from prestigious dance schools and their alumni perform with LCB and go on to professional dance careers. This opportunity has reinforced the input Joeley is receiving from the Legat program, which continues to challenge and develop her dance."

There are at least 12 applicants for each LCB place, so for Joeley to be offered this chance two years in a row reflects her high levels of skill, dedication and ability.

Everyone at the Prep School is extremely proud of her acheivement.
