Swimming: Success at Nationals for Bede’s Prep School

Swim Team

Five children represented Bede's Prep School in the IAPS Swimming Championship Finals at the K2 in Crawley on Saturday 11 May.

These children had swam in the regional round at the Sovereign Centre back in February and had already placed themselves in the top sixteen swimmers in the Country in their respective age groups and strokes.

The competition during the Finals on Saturday was of an exceptional standard and all of our children rose to the challenge by achieving personal best times.

Amelia Doxey swam in the U12 Breaststroke, achieving an impressive 3rd place and we were very proud as she gained her medal and took her place on the podium

Elsa Brown swam in the U12 Backstroke and achieved 7th position

Chase Sutherland swam in the U11 Butterfly and gained 8th position.

Roisin Dixon swam in the U13 Backstroke achieving 10th place

Alastair Orr swam in the U12 Breaststroke and took 15th position.

Swimming Coach, Michelle Jebb said, said of their achievements, "I am incredibly proud of the children's achievements, they all trained very hard and their effort and commitment to swimming has really paid off."
