Gifted and Talented: Year 4 Welcome Local Pupils
As part of the school's Gifted and Talented Programme, a group of children from Year 4 were joined last Tuesday by children from several local primary schools for a Curriculum Enhancement Day.
Having been put into mixed teams, the children spent the morning attacking a variety of challenging activities in Science, Computing and Modern Languages. They quickly began working together and sparking off each other during what proved to be a lively few hours.
After lunch, the children then took advantage of an hour's specialist coaching in either tennis, football or swimming.
At the well-deserved tea at the end of the day, the only slight disagreement was about what was the most exciting thing - learning how to make fire, programming robots or learning to speak Japanese and Russian!
