Art and Design: Year 7 Go Behind The Scenes at Towner Gallery

Art & Design: Year 7 Pupils Go Behind The Scene at Towner Gallery

Year 7 children from Bede's were privileged to visit behind the scenes of the Towner Gallery as part of their new Landscape project.

Bede's is taking part in the Towner Schools exhibition in partnership with the South Downs National Park. As part of the preparation for this they viewed key works by artists such as Eric Ravilious and Louisa Paris in the gallery's permanent collection.

The gallery stores hundreds of famous and important works and offered Bede's children the opportunity to see the acclaimed 'Wonderland Exhibition' with a range of work in many different media.

With a fascinating talk by the museum guide, the children explored the pieces on display and returned to school with ideas to explore as they create their large scale work to enter into the exhibition later in the spring.
