Netball: U12s Claim Runner-Up Prize in SISNA Tournament

U12 Netball Ardingly

The U12 Netball Team had a great tournament at Roedean on Wednesday 22nd January where 10 teams competed and the girls scored a total of 53 goals during the course of the afternoon.

Coming in just behind Burgess Hill School for Girls, the U12s played to the best of their ability, fighting for every loose ball and working hard to win back possession whenever it was lost.

The team worked as a close-knit unit and their opponents found it difficult to find a way through to score goals as everyone was marking, moving and counteracting every play.

Saffy used the whole court to work the ball down into the attacking zone; Riley was driving forward to receive the ball and then feeding superb weighted passes to Chase and Flo in the circle. Chase and Flo were dynamic in the circle working well together passing and shooting their way to success for the team.

Jess A was fantastic, creating space and approaching every ball with determination when defending and pressuring the ball, and the versatility of Beth and Georgie meant they were rotated in to ensure the team didn't lose their tempo.

Ella and Jess were a brilliant defensive unit and intercepted many passes into the circle preventing many shots on goal.

Well done girls!
