MFL: Mexican Day Inspires Reception and Years 1 and 2
Following on from our hugely successful week studying France which concluded with a French breakfast and themed day, the Holywell children travelled to Mexico.
Pupils made their own passports and each had a ticket to stamp before boarding the aeroplane which was awaiting them.
They were treated to some inflight entertainment, drinks and snacks served by the flight crew, before landing in Mexico City.
Captain Entwisle, the pilot came to meet the passengers and answer any questions they had about their flight.
Having disembarked, the children explored numerous curriculum activities across the department including making Mexican clay pots, using Mexican beans to create individual pictures, making colourful ponchos and masks concluding will a fully Mexican-themed delicious lunch for the whole school to enjoy!
