Religious Studies: Year 6 Examine Jewish Artefacts

In Year 6, the children have been examining Jewish religious artefacts, coming up with ideas about what they think about a range of different objects.

They were answering a range of questions, ranging from how they thought each artefact was used, to its importance to religious beliefs and ideas.

Crucially, at this stage, the children were working 'blind' in order to see what their own ideas and perceptions were.

They will then go on to research and examine the objects in more detail, using secondary sources.

This forms part of a more general examination of Judaism, forming the basis of more extensive Judeo-Christian study in Year 7 and 8.
