Cricket: 1st XI Progress To National Semi-Finals

1st XI Progress To National Semi-Finals

The Bede's Prep 1st XI has reached the semi-final of the National Bunbury Cup - the furthest a Bede's team has progressed in competition across the School's century-long history.

This latest achievement saw the 1st XI beat Highgate, Norwich and Watford Grammar in the Southern Regional rounds of the Bunbury Cup, bowling out Watford for 98 and then chasing the score with nine wickets to spare.

The U13 Bede's side will now take on Millfield in the Bunbury Cup semi-final later in June.

The team are also in the last rounds of the National JET Cup, in which they are reigning Champions, and the Sussex County Cup in which they are also defending champions.

Bede's Prep School's U13 cricket coach Neill Lenham said of these accomplishments, "This picture of achievement across such a range of competitions combines to paint a portrait of unprecedented success for Bede's Prep School and its growing cricketing reputation."
