Tennis: Bede’s U10 Boys Win Sussex County Championships

The Under 10 Sussex County Tennis Championship took place at Bede's Senior School on Thursday 4th June, with 24 schools and almost 100 children taking part.

The tournament took place on the hottest day of the year so far, with both the Boys' and Girls' Teams showing real grit and stamina to play such good tennis throughout the competition.

In the girls' event, the Bede's team of Kirstin O, Millie T, Matilda C and Angel J lost in a point count-back match to the winners Moira House.

The Bede's boys meanwhile played outstandingly, beating Lancing Prep School in the semi-final and Brighton College Prep School in the final.

Very well done to Angus M, Josh S, Ethan R and Charlie H, the latter of whom has had an amazing tennis season so far.

Charlie competes Nationally out of school and is currently ranked No.1 in the Country for his age group.

Every Friday afternoon, Charlie travels to the National Training Centre, Roehampton, to practise with the best in Britain.

Well done to Charlie and all of the U10s for earning Bede's Prep School another County Championship.
