Bede's Girls Win U11 IAPS Cricket Tournament

On Wednesday 22 May, Bede’s Senior School hosted the annual IAPS U11 Girls Cricket Tournament.

Bede’s entered two teams alongside Brighton and Hove High and Cottesmore. Each team played three games in the group stages, which saw Bede’s A team come out on top. Each game was very exciting, with some outstanding batting, bowling and fielding shown by all.

Bede’s A and Brighton and Hove High met in the final, and after a tense match and an amazing day of cricket, Bede’s A went on to win.

All the teams conducted themselves in a wonderfully sporting manner and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. It was a lovely afternoon of cricket played in the sunshine and it was fantastic to see so many girls taking part in the sport. I look forward to next year!
