Miles Studio Theatre
Bede's first purpose-built Drama Studio was opened by Ronnie Corbett OBE in May 2006.
Named as testimony to Mrs Nicolette Miles, who almost from the outset inspired the School's very fine Drama tradition, the complex includes a 400-seater auditorium, fully integrated sound-system and has physical linkage to the Legat School of Dance Studios.
Constructed to be 'owned by the students' in line with Bede's ethos of preparing young actors and technicians for life in profession, the Miles Theatre's lighting rigs and control room as well as all set construction and makeup undertaken within it, are all managed in collaboration with students through the Theatre Production activity.
Elsewhere, the building also holds two smaller rehearsal studios, classrooms, storage areas and the Drama Office, all of which help the Bede's Drama department to function like a small, self-sufficient theatre school.
