The Ostlers building houses Design and Technology workshops over 2 floors, both of which were refurbished over the summer of 2013/14.
Containing equipment including metal and woodturning lathes, bandsaws, disc sanders, fretsaws, pillar drills, gas burner hearths, table routers, CAD/CAM machines, lasercutters, a Mig Welding machine, plastics ovens and plastic line benders, vacuum former machines and a range portable power and hand tools, it is hard to believe that the Ostlers only makes up half of Bede's Design and Technology department.
The rest of the departments equipment is located in the Coach House, which also includes a dedicated Design and Technology IT suite, Design Workshop and spacious upstairs classroom.
Metal and woodwork from Bede's students is displayed in all its glory during Arts Week towards the end of the Summer Term each year - if you can attend one of the gallery showings then we highly recommend it!
