Student Travel Coordinator
The role of the Student Travel Co-ordinator (STC) is to assist Parents, guardians and students with half term and end of term travel arrangements. The service is offered to all boarding students.
The Student Travel Co-ordinator can assist with booking transfers to and from airports, train stations and can also arrange travel to and from private addresses.
Four weeks prior to a school holiday the STC will send out via email a booking form to students, parents and guardians. Once the form is returned, the STC will plan the travel and book transfers using either school minibuses or approved taxis. The STC will ensure students share vehicles where possible to keep costs to a minimum for parents and guardians.
The STC ensures students, parents and guardians receive booking and confirmation information well in advance of travel and will inform them of any changes as they occur. All travel information is sent via email and posters are displayed in the relevant boarding houses a few days prior to departure.
All travel involving a departure from school outside the term dates must be authorised by the relevant Housemaster prior to booking.
