Each year, First Year pupils at Bede's embark on an Outdoor Pursuits Expedition.
The expedition is enormously popular with our pupils and provides an opportunity for all new pupils to participate in adventurous activities in a safe environment and offers great bonding experiences for all.
The trip is part of the First Year Curriculum and as such is included within the school fees.
The expedition takes place over five days and involves the whole of the first year going to the YHA centre in Edale, Derbyshire.
Fully qualified, professional instructors lead groups in a number of exciting activities in this beautiful part of the country.
• Rock climbing
• Hill walking
• Adventure assault Course
• Night Navigation
• Leadership skills
Pupils are expected to take part and most do come along and enjoy this wonderful experience.
Further details about the OP Trip, such as required kit, detailed timings etc are provided to families in September via email and the Parent Portal.
“ Education isn't about how much you have committed to memory. It's about knowing where to go to find out what you need and knowing how to use the information you get. ”
