Writers' Workshop

1 Class Shot Focus On Girl Smiling 2

The Bede's Writers' Workshop, which convenes once a month, is a space for aspiring poets, novelists, playwrights and lyricists to develop their craft.

In these engaging sessions, students from the Fifth and Sixth Form year-groups explore the fundamentals of fiction through stimulating activities, as well as sharing their own writing in a workshop environment.

The group is open to all, but students must demonstrate a commitment to writing through ongoing work on their private portfolios and notebooks.

Dates of meetings are available in the school calendar.

Matt Oliver
It is through reading and writing that we discover who we are, or who we want to be. In each piece of writing, I want my pupils to have the chance to reinvent themselves.
