At Bede's, we do not distinguish between an A Level, BTEC or GCSE exam and a full-blown production.
We ticket our examination performances, inviting parents and members of the public to see the incredibly polished work of our young actors in the same way we would for our Senior and Junior Productions.
These events include Monologue Evenings, Arts Awards productions and Scripted and Devised works encompassing Dance, via the Legat School, and Drama.
Furthermore, we believe that the mark schemes and curriculum information supplied by the exam boards are an excellent starting point for pupils, but our goal is to prepare Bedians for lives in industry.
This means that every Fifth or Sixth Form pupil is provided with training in not only theatrical performance and theory but also Theatre Production, offering them the opportunity to take responsibility for set and costume design as well as make-up, sound and lighting for their Examination Productions.
“ I relish building confidence and creativity in every individual so that they can achieve their full potential whilst at Bede’s and beyond. ”

“I look to give tools to students to equip them for the challenges of life, assist them to make informed choices and help them appreciate what “kindness” to oneself and others really means.”
