News came through this week from the University of Cambridge congratulating the exceptional performance of two Bede's alumni in their recent Pre-U examinations.

George Dabby, who took the Cambridge Government and Politics Pre-U course, achieved the highest mark in the country. Naomi Pearl was also awarded for achieving D1 grades in every exam in her Pre-U English course.

Ann Puntis, Chief Executive of Cambridge International Examinations, wrote to both George and Naomi, saying, 'We hope that learners from Bede's will be encouraged in their future education and careers by this recognition.'

Naomi (photographed) popped into school to pick up her certificate, and an interview with her is now available to read here.
