Rugby: Harry Reilly selected for Ireland U18 Squad

Harry Reilly has been invited to Dublin this weekend to train with the Ireland Under 18 Squad.

Harry has been playing for the Irish Exiles and Harlequins School of rugby squad but has now been selected to play in the full squad.  He qualifies given that he has an Irish Grandfather.

Harry will be playing on December 28 against Ireland schools, followed by matches in February against Italy and Scotland Under 18 teams.

These games are warm-up matches ahead of the FIRA European Cup, a two week competition based in France.

Harry has said that he found the selection challenging but hugely enjoyable.

"The major challenges are the physicality of the game as it has been a big step up from club to international rugby," he said.

"The game moves at a very different speed with very little time on the ball."

Harry has had to train hard in the gym to develop his size and strength to adapt to his new position of Inside Centre from his club and school position of Fly Half.

"I really enjoyed playing with such high quality players around me," he continues.

"I push myself to the limit, and aim for perfection."
