Stud: The Honour of Singing with the Bloomsbury Girls

The Big Song performed with gusto by Stud, Bloomsbury and Dicker Houses.

Last Friday was the much-anticipated Inter-House Music competition in which Stud House supported Bloomsbury in what proved to be one for the most memorable and impressive music competitions of recent years.

Ms Martin conducts the three Houses in spectacular form - and in a spectacular outfit!

Students from all Houses had put a huge amount of preparation into the evening in the preceding fortnight and sang spectacularly.

Each House Team prepared and performed a Big Song, Small Song, Solo and a House Band number, with 2013 being the first time that there have been four categories in the competition.

The girls of Bloomsbury House.

We all sang our hearts out and the support from the audience made for a fantastic atmosphere up on stage!

The Bloomsbury girls' stunning vocals in the small choir song Mamma Mia were rewarded with the prize for Best Small Song - a fantastic result.

As for the solo song, it was performed beautifully by Rebecca Fellowes from Bloomsbury and had the 1000+ audience captivated throughout.

Rebecca, in full flow.

I was proud to be able to play in our band, and Kirsty Sutherland's vocals were stunning.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening and a highlight of the year so far. I would like to thank Bloomsbury House for making us feel so much part of the team and congratulate them on winning the small song.
