Dicker House Wins House Cup for Fourth Year Running

As announced at the Final Assembly at the End of Term, Dicker House has won the House Cup for the fourth year in a row.

The final competitions of the year were held on Wednesday afternoon with the Cricket, Tennis and Athletics finals taking place alongside Baking, Quizzes and Egg Races.

The Dicker boys won the Cricket final convincingly versus Dorms and also comfortably won the Tennis.

The Athletics was a hard fought battle, with strong performances from Jack Sampson, Harry Walker, Dougie Bichan and Anthony Donaldson proving to be not quite enough to prevent Deis House earning the top spot as worthy winners overall.

When the Final Assembly came around we were waiting with baited breath for the results, and our usually strong Senior Quiz Team came 6th and our Bakers came seventh!

Would we be pipped by Deis?

With all the scores added together Dicker prevailed, beating our rivals by only three points!

The House Competitions have been enormous fun throughout the year and I'm happy to say that every single boy contributed.

News of our fourth consecutive victory was a fantastic way to end the year - well done boys! - but the big question now is can we make it to 5 out of 5?

Only time will tell!
