Bloomsbury and Deis: Pupils Perform at Joint House Soiree
Last Thursday, 18th September, the girls from Bloomsbury and the boys from Deis joined forces to entertain their parents at the Soiree held in the Recital Room.
After getting to know each other over drinks and canapés, the Heads of Houses, Eve Ramesar and Piers Nathan, introduced the evening's entertainment.
One of the first pieces to delight our guests was played on the oboe by our youngest performer of the evening, Rosa Marks, accompanied by Mr Scamardella. She was swiftly followed by Tilly Holker and Jonathan Connell, who amazed us with their piano pieces.
Next up, Tilly Mayher, Scarlette Giles, and Rosa Witts all sang beautifully while Ruby Moody played guitar and big sister Anna accompanied her sister on the viola.
Callum Freidman, Jonathan Connell and Dan Grimston then treated the audience to a great performance, after which Szofia Lindsay-MacDougall surprised us all with her harp solo.
The evening was rounded off by a mother and daughter performance of 'Auld Lang Syne' by Sally and Boo Wild.
Thanks go to all our guests and performers for such an enjoyable evening, and special thanks to Mrs Pendry and Mr Scamardella for rehearsing and organising the musicians.
We hope the event was just a taste of what is to come over the year.
