The Music Department warmly invites you to a Music Technology Masterclass on 7 October 2014 in the wonderful setting of the Recital Room at the Senior School.

The event will commence at 7:15pm and we expect the evening to finish around 8.30pm.

This is an opportunity to witness our brilliantly talented music technologists at work in an 'open class' format under the expert guidance of Mr Hopkins, our Head of Music Technology.

Attendees will see first-hand the ground-breaking techniques that exist in the world of music technology and a glimpse in to how it all works!

Mr Hopkins' studied piano from a young age and moved into the arena of music production as a teenager. He read Music Production at university and spent his early twenties (before joining Bede's) working as a freelance session musician, sound engineer and lecturer in music production at Sussex Downs College in Eastbourne.

Across the two disciplines of keyboard playing and studio production, he has worked with a variety of artists, both in the studio and in live performance. He has performed extensively in London and Brighton, played a number of music festivals in the South East, the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, and has been on national radio several times.

He also composes music for Mobile and Tablet video games.

This event is free of charge but seating is limited so please let Maria Leigh know if you are able to attend by telephoning 01323 843252 or emailing maria.leigh@bedes.org.

We look forward to welcoming you on what promises to be a wonderful evening of music.
