Knights: House Competitions Heat Things Up
The boys of Knights House demonstrated effort and determination in the Inter-House Competitions just before half term.
We competed in the tower building, finishing a respectable fourth, with a tower made from straws that was over 1m tall. The Tower Building Team, led admirable by Leo, Jacob and Freddie, will no doubt learn a great deal from their engineering endeavours and I am certain that they will be crowned champions next time around!
The House Chess Competition was close-fought, with Henry and Kiran both playing well - it appears that a formidable partnership is being formed between the pair.
The Junior House Football Competition was enjoyable, although the results did not fall Knights' way. Jack, Will and Elliot competed in House Badminton Competition with great success however, cementing Knights reputation as undisputed Badminton champions (and indicating who will be representing the School in the future!)
The Senior House Football Competition also saw the Knights team retain the title of champions with a narrow 1-0 victory against Deis House in the final. Nathan scored the winning goal after excellent build up play from Charlie, Cameron and James.
All in all, the Inter-House Competitions are a chance for the young men of Knights to demonstrate their spirit, camaraderie and ethos. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around the campus and seeing so many people working together so well and supporting one another so thoroughly.
Regardless of the results, this atmosphere of shared enterprise was truly impressive, and I would like to thank Hamish and Toby for taking the photos on the day and for capturing these events for all of us in Knights.
