Crossways: Mug-Painting and Friend-Making

Crossways House was turned into an artist’s studio during the first week back after the holidays when Masterpiece Pottery Painting arrived with mugs for the girls to paint.

This simple pastime served two useful purposes: firstly it meant that now everyone in the House has their own mug and so – in theory – no-one should need to borrow another’s!

More importantly, the act of sitting together with girls of different year groups gently and quietly painting allows budding relationships to develop and builds House spirit.

Everyone really enjoyed this activity and we look forward to seeing the fruits of the girls’ endeavours when they are delivered in a week’s time!
