Camberlot: Charity Egg Smash Raises £150 For Rocking Horse

The annual Camberlot House Charity Egg Smash took place last Wednesday in aid of our House Charity, Rocking Horse.

The premise is very simple – 200 eggs, half boiled, half raw. Pupils can purchase an egg for £1-3 and crack it over either a member of staff or a Camberlot leaver – a sort of Egg Russian Roulette!

The event was both enjoyable to all and successful in generating money for Rocking Horse, a charity which charity provides resources to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies.

As Rocking Horse do not gain any government funding, they rely on donations from private individuals and groups – hence Camberlot’s enthusiastic support.

In total, this year’s Egg Smash raised £154.74, with the likes of Joe Bowler and Joshua Simonassi were particularly egg-soaked by the end of the event.

Mr McKeefry and new tutor Mr Sealey took a bit of a hammering and even I was not left out, despite trying to price myself out of contention!

As always, it was a great opportunity for Camberlot to contribute to a great cause and be together as a house just before the end of the academic year.

Our House is a close community, and it’s events like this that just demonstrate what a team we can be.
