Bede’s Pupils Present Their Experiences of Nepal to Eastbourne Lions Club

After 18 months of furious fundraising, an intrepid group of 22 eager pupils headed to Nepal back in July 2017.

Last week, a few of the pupils who visited Nepal gave a presentation to Eastbourne Lions Club as a thank you for their kind generosity towards out fundraising effort.

Lions Clubs enable volunteers worldwide to help and support good causes through fundraising and organising projects.

Ben Peskett, Tully Evenett and Imogen Lock presented their experiences on the eye-opening trip, which saw pupils trek through the Annapurna mountain range and carry out volunteer work in a Tibetan refugee camp.

Commenting on their presentation, Lynda Sparkes who led the trip to Nepal said, “I was truly proud of how the pupils presented their thoughts. They gave the audience a real understanding of the positive, empowering impact a trip like this can have on people.”

As a result of our presentation, the Lions Club will establish links with the Lions Club of Pokhara Annapurna to see how they can assist them, a really wonderful outcome!
