The House Cup
Bede's boasts five Day Houses and five Boarding Houses, all of which are engaged in an annual series of House Competitions.
House Points are earned through either receiving Rewards and Merits in lessons or as part of the Co-Curricular programme, during which events are staged for pupils to compete across a range of sporting, cerebral and team-based activities.
These events include the likes of the House Music competition, which takes place during the Autumn Term, as well as House Quizzes, House Chess Competitions and a huge number of sporting events including House Football, House Hockey and the infamous House Cross Country.
At the end of the year, the points earned by each House is totalled and the overall winner of the House Cup is announced on Prize Giving Day - the last day of the Academic year.
“ There is no better job in all the world than mine. I love working with young people and hearing their ideas, aspirations and questions about life in general. ”
