Launched in September 2016, Bede’s Football Diploma takes place during the academic timetable and is focused individual player development and sports leadership.

Part of the newly-minted Bede’s Diploma programme, the scheme enables our Sixth Formers to take coaching and officiating badges whilst also receiving some additional some small group coaching sessions focusing more position specific techniques and skills.

With a view to providing specialist player development, elite training and exit routes into more aspects of professional football than just playing, the Bede’s Football Diploma offers pupils the opportunity to achieve their FA Level 1, FA Level 2 and Youth Modules as well as FA Referee qualification.

This is in addition to the rest of our year-round programme, which includes Pre-Season training, 35-40 matches per season, Strength and Conditioning sessions and squad training three times a week for both our 1sts and 2nds.

Coming from my background in the professional leisure industry, I can say with some authority that the opportunities Bede's students have, both in terms of coaching and facilities, are absolutely outstanding.

I believe that physical fitness is one of the most important keys to a healthy body, and that it forms the basis of a creative, intellectual mind.
