Give Volleyball a go and find out why it is one of the top three most-played sports in the world!
Volleyball at Bede’s is about fun and participation, whatever your ability. The game is easy to learn and is a great sport if you want to try something different. It is also a very social game and a great way to make new friends.
Joining the Bede’s Volleyball Club will improve your fitness, agility and coordination. It is the only high-energy, zero body-contact, mixed team sport you can play indoors and outdoors, and few sports require as much teamwork and communication meaning that every player acquires soft skills too.
Bede’s competes in regular fixtures and tournaments through the indoor season, with day trips in the spring and summer to try Beach Volleyball at Yellowave in Brighton.
The Club trains three times a week with a Social Session on Sundays, an Intermediate session during after-school activities on Mondays and 1st Team Performance Training on Tuesday evenings.
I oversee the whole programme and, aside from working at Bede’s, I am also Head Coach at Ashcombe VC (National League Division 1, National Shield Winners in 2015) and at the University of Sussex (Currently ranked 3rd in the BUCS Premier League).
“ It is my goal to provide players with every opportunity to become as good as they want to be. We take little steps, nurture their character and confidence, and try to build high self-esteem through a sense of accomplishment. ”
James Clow, Head of Volleyball
