Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Bede's Trust is looking for a hardworking and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our outstanding Estates Team. 

In this role, you will ensure that all electrical repairs and installations are carried out to National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation (NICEIC) regulations, and that accurate records are completed for annual inspection and assessment through the NICEIC qualified assessors. You will also assist with daily work scheduling for the electrical team and contractors, according to priorities, taking into account reactive, planned maintenance and Estates projects, ensuring they fall within service level agreements and allocated budget. 

As part of the role, you will be responding to emergencies during the normal working day, liaising with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, Senior School Security Coordinator, and Prep Security Caretaker on issues that need escalating, ensuring the safety of the Bede's community. For this role, there may be a requirement to be added to our out of hours emergencies on call rota. This will be discussed further at the interview stage.

You will also be supporting the schools commitment to it's Net Zero strategy, researching the latest renewable and sustainable systems, equipment, materials etc, and ensuring that the most cost and time effective options are presented for approval.

It is essential to have a NVQ Level 3 Electrician Qualification, or a minimum of 4 years experience. 

This is a Full Time, Permanent position, working Monday-Friday 7:30-16:30, 52 weeks per year. 

Salary: £36,400 per annum.
