Bede's Lower School Admissions

Bede’s School is introducing an exciting new option for pupils transitioning into Years 7 and 8 from September 2027: a brand-new, purpose-built Lower School at the Upper Dicker Senior School campus. This new 'school within a school' will feature modern classrooms, a state-of-the-art science laboratory, dedicated social hubs, flexible dining spaces, and purpose-built outdoor areas tailored to the developmental needs of this age group. Crucially, pupils will benefit from enhanced access to the Senior School’s outstanding facilities, including extensive sports, arts, and music spaces, and will be taught by subject specialists from across the Senior School academic faculties.

This new provision at Upper Dicker will operate alongside the existing, highly successful environment for Years 7 and 8 at Bede’s Prep School in Eastbourne, which will continue unchanged. This ensures parents can select the environment that is perfectly matched to their child’s unique needs—whether they thrive on the continuity of the Prep community or benefit from earlier integration into a Senior School setting.
