Upper School Entry

From September 2027, we are extending the Eastbourne provision to Year 11, creating a seamless, boutique educational pathway through to GCSE - offering a high-impact academic experience within the nurturing “village” atmosphere that our community values so highly.  This provision will run alongside the Senior School at Upper Dicker, which from September 2027 will educate children from Years 7 to 13

Joining the Bede's Family: Our Admissions Process

Choosing the right school is a significant decision, and our admissions process is designed to be as welcoming and stress-free as possible. We look beyond just grades, seeking to discover each child’s unique potential and character.

Commitment to Value

The tuition fees for Bede’s Eastbourne will be highly competitive, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible education that meets the needs of all our families in the challenging economy following the implementation of VAT on independent schools. It is expected that the termly fees for the new Bede’s Upper School (Eastbourne) will be in a range of approximately £7,500 to £8,500 before inflationary rises. For families wanting to move to Year 7/8 at the Bede’s Senior School campus in Upper Dicker, the termly tuition fees for Years 7 and 8 will be approximately £9,000 for day pupils and £13,500 for boarders before inflationary rises.

Our process is built on three key pillars:

1. The personal interview

We believe that a child is more than a set of data points. Every applicant has a one-to-one conversation with a senior member of our leadership team. This is a chance for us to hear about their passions; whether it's robotics, horse riding, or history and for them to ask us questions about life at Bede’s. It is a relaxed, friendly exchange designed to ensure our "boutique" environment is the perfect fit for them.

2. Online Cognitive Assessment

To understand a pupil's academic baseline and learning style, we use a modern, online cognitive test. Unlike traditional "pass/fail" entrance exams, this assessment helps us identify a student's natural aptitudes. This data allows our teaching team to provide the personalised mentorship that defines the Upper School from the moment your child arrives.

3. Visit and Discover

While data and interviews are important, nothing replaces the "feeling" of walking through our halls. We strongly encourage all prospective families to visit our Eastbourne campus.
