Bede's Senior School

Bede's Senior School provides education for pupils from Year 9 through to Year 13 (Sixth Form). Established in 1978 after the success of Bede’s Prep School, the Senior School is set in over 100 acres within the stunning Sussex Downs National Park.

Since its founding, Bede's Senior School has expanded significantly, growing from an initial cohort of 23 students to around 800 today. This growth has brought impressive developments, including a state-of-the-art Sports Complex, five boarding houses, and even an on-site zoo!

Bede's pupils are given the tools to reach academic excellence alongside pursuing co-curricular activities.

Each pupil's educational journey is customised to align with their interests, encouraging them to pursue their unique talents.

Bede's Prep School

Bede's Prep School, founded in 1895, is set near Beachy Head with beautiful views of the sea. Bede's Prep values each pupil's individual development and strives to create a well-rounded learning experience that fosters both academic and personal growth. Bede’s prioritises holistic education, aiming to develop soft skills like teamwork, empathy, and resilience.

Bede's facilities support a comprehensive learning environment, including seafront classrooms, science labs, a spacious art room, and cookery rooms. The school’s impressive sports facilities—such as a large sports hall, an astro pitch, and an indoor pool—are complemented by access to the Senior School’s grounds, which feature grass pitches, tennis courts, and a fitness suite.
