Bede's Legat Dance Academy, situated at Bede's Senior School, is tailored to passionate dancers (aged 13-18 years) who aspire to pursue a career in dance. At Bede's, they receive professional dance training alongside a high-quality academic programme. 

Pupils are taught by industry professionals and receive guest workshops with leading choreographers from the West End. Pupils are provided with countless opportunities to perform. Legat Dance Academy pupils regularly perform on the main stage at Move It - the world's biggest annual dance festival at London's ExCel Centre.

After passing an audition, pupils fit in a remarkable 14.5 hours of dance training each week including ballet, contemporary, jazz and tap alongside their classroom studies. First Year pupils receive an additional five hours of dance sessions each week, whilst Sixth Formers enjoy a further two hours of dance classes, allowing them to deepen their skills and technique. Legat pupils have the opportunity to pursue examinations in RAD Ballet and study the Rambert grades, all whilst having the option to select BTEC Level 2 or 3 in Performing Arts. Legat graduatess consistently secure spots at prestigious dance colleges and universities across the globe, such as Arts Ed, Rambert, Urdang, Laine Theatre Arts, Central School of Ballet and many more.

Bede's as a school is known for the quality of its pastoral care, which remains of top priority to the Legat Dance Academy teaching team. Within their schedules, pupils have time to balance both their dance training and academics alongside having time to enjoy friendships and other off timetable activities. As part of an all-round education, the Legat programme includes workshops on wellbeing and nutrition. For dancers who are not Bede's pupils who wish to work and learn from the Legat faculty, there is the 'Legat Associates Programme' which is on offer for 7-17 year olds on Saturdays.
