Health and Wellbeing

Bede’s takes a holistic and proactive approach to health and wellbeing at both our Prep and Senior Schools.

Both of our centres are staffed by experienced and highly qualified nurses with additional support from trained counsellors and access to GPs where required.

At the Prep School staff in the Health and Wellbeing Centre can provide advice to parents, carry out health assessments, support with the management of chronic conditions, provide first aid and immunisation clinics as well as administer medicines and offer drop in clinics. There is also on call provision for boarders.

This service is mirrored at the Senior School, where the staff there treat over 100 pupils every week with a wide range of injuries and ailments, also supporting pupils with their emotional wellbeing. The Centre operates an open door policy and also works with a range of outside agencies, referring pupils where appropriate to dietitians, mental health support services and physiotherapists.
