Bede's becomes member of 'The Wellbeing Hub'
Pamela Nikiteas, Head of PSHE

Teachers and parents from Bede's will now be empowered to support the mental health and wellbeing of their young people through The Wellbeing Hub from Teen Tips.

It has never been more important to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Recent stats from The Wellbeing Hub reveal an overwhelming 89% of parents say there's a need for all teachers to be given the skills to support the emotional wellbeing of young people.

Commenting on The Wellbeing Hub, Pamela Nikiteas, Head of PSHE says, "Ensuring the wellbeing of the young people in our care is paramount. In the complex landscape of the modern world, it is crucial for us to enable our pupils to foster emotional resilience, build social connections, and develop their self-awareness. Prioritising mental health equips them to navigate challenges, supports their academic success, and lays a foundation for lifelong wellbeing. To help us achieve this, we are excited to share that we are now members of The Wellbeing Hub, developed by child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing experts, Teen Tips. Details on how to register to access these fantastic resources will soon be shared with pupils, parents and staff and we believe it will be an invaluable source of information and support for our whole school community. "

Alicia Drummond, adolescent psychotherapist and founder of The Wellbeing Hub and Teen Tips said: “Schools do an extraordinary job of educating their pupils in the most difficult of circumstances. We’re delighted to be working with Bede's who are adopting this proactive and holistic approach to support the mental health of their whole school community.”

Since the pandemic, The Wellbeing Hub have seen a rising demand from parents and schools for guidance and training on understanding and meeting the social and emotional needs of their young people. The Wellbeing Hub, which includes access for pupils aged 10 and above, is currently impacting more than 100,000 pupils in over 170 schools across the UK.

We cannot wait to get stuck into the huge variety of resources available!

We are proud to be supporting our pupils' mental health
