It has been a season of remarkable achievements for our tennis community, with our players securing silverware and climbing the national rankings.

Leading the charge is Lower Fifth pupil Harrison, who has seen a recent string of successes. Harrison recently triumphed at the U18 Regional Tournament held at The Weald. While a victory at this level is impressive in its own right, Harrison’s performance was particularly notable as he continues to compete—and win—against older, more experienced players while still in the U16 category.

Following his regional success, Harrison traveled to the National Training Centre for the U16 Junior National Championships. Demonstrating incredible grit and tactical skill, he battled through a highly competitive field to reach the last 16 in the country. 

Many of our pupils have been successful across various regional circuits, with several of our younger pupils stepping up to challenge older age groups with phenomenal results. First Year pupil Sienna was an U16 Finalist at a tournament in Tunbridge Wells. First Year pupil Emily was an U16 Finalist at The Weald. Sienna and Emily, despite being in the First Year, not only reached the U14 Finals at The Weald but also successfully "played up" to become U16 Finalists. Their ability to compete at such a high level against senior opposition is a true testament to the rigorous training and dedication they bring to the court.

Lower Fifth pupil Maddie was the U18 Winner at an event in London. Maddie delivered an excellent performance to secure a brilliant victory at a highly competitive event, further proving that Bede’s pupils are a force to be reckoned with across all age categories.
