Bede's
Pre-School Children Celebrate World Book Day in Style
Holly Marsh, Nursery Keyperson

Bede's Pre-School pupils have had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. The children and teachers all had fun dressing up as their favourite book characters.

We enjoyed reading lots of stories and having chocolate cupcakes for snack like in Judith Kerr's The Tiger Who Came to Tea. In the afternoon, we made witches' wands by dipping breadsticks in melted chocolate and sprinkles and read the Room on a Broom by Julia Donaldson.

The children have taken part in a character catwalk, made Gruffalo masks, played in a Gruffalo tuff tray, designed teapots, played musical story books, and made witches' potions. We even went on a hunt to find Teacher Mel.

Everyone has had an amazing day. Well done for all dressing up. We have had lots of fun.
