Year 5 Pupils Help to Keep our Beaches Clean
Mark Hammond, Headmaster

Armed with litter picks and rubbish bags, our environmentally-conscious Year 5 pupils took to our local Eastbourne beaches last week to help clear rubbish from the shores.

The beach clean, organised by local campaign group Plastic Free Eastbourne, gave our pupils a fantastic opportunity to get involved with a community initiative while learning about the negative impact of single-use plastic and other rubbish on the local environment and wildlife.

Caring for the environment is an issue very close to our pupils' hearts, and we are proud to say that they are always incredibly enthusiastic to help with litter picks throughout the year. We look forward to taking part in another Plastic Free Eastbourne event very soon.
