Clubs, Games & Hobbies
Our clubs, hobbies and games programme offers pupils the opportunity to explore new interests, develop existing talents and build confidence beyond the classroom. With a wide range of academic, creative, practical and recreational clubs available, there is something to inspire every child!
Creative and Digital Enrichment:
Book Club
For pupils with an interest in stories, creativity and technology, these clubs provide opportunities to explore a range of interests. Book Club encourages pupils to read widely, discuss their favourite books and share their ideas in a supportive environment, helping to develop both a love of reading and critical thinking skills.
BAFTA Young Game Designer
The BAFTA Young Game Designer club introduces pupils to the principles of game design, combining storytelling, coding and creative problem-solving. Pupils have the opportunity to develop their own game concepts and, where appropriate, submit their work to the BAFTA Young Game Designer competition.
Minecraft Education Edition
Using the educational edition of Minecraft, pupils can work together on projects that explore concepts such as mathematics, science and community planning. The club encourages collaboration, creativity and practical problem-solving through structured, project-based activities.
Global Citizenship:
Geography & Travel Club
Pupils with an interest in the world around them will enjoy these opportunities to learn, explore and take part in practical projects. Geography and Travel Club introduces pupils to different countries, cultures and geographical features through a variety of activities, including map work, environmental investigations and themed projects.
Eco Club
For pupils interested in sustainability, Eco Club provides opportunities to take part in gardening, recycling and conservation initiatives. Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, pupils develop an understanding of environmental responsibility and the positive impact they can have on their school and wider community.
Logic, Tactics & Games:
Tabletop Games & Chess Club
Pupils who enjoy problem-solving, strategic thinking and friendly competition will find plenty to engage them in these clubs. Tabletop Games and Chess provides opportunities to play a variety of board games, develop tactical thinking and build social skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Magic & Card Games Club
Magic and Card Games introduces pupils to card tricks, sleight-of-hand techniques and logic-based challenges. Through learning and practising new skills, pupils can develop confidence, concentration and creative thinking while sharing their interests with others.
Hands-On Learning & Life Skills:
FIRST LEGO League
In FIRST LEGO League, pupils work collaboratively to design, build and programme LEGO robots, applying principles of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to real-world challenges.
Cookery Club
Cooking helps pupils develop confidence in the kitchen while learning about nutrition, healthy eating and food preparation. Through a range of recipes and activities, pupils build practical skills that encourage independence and creativity.
Horse Riding club
Horse Riding club offers pupils the chance to develop riding skills in a supportive environment, regardless of prior experience. As well as improving balance, coordination and confidence, pupils learn about horse care and responsibility while working closely with experienced instructors and horses.
