Years 4 to 6
In Years 4, 5 and 6, each subject’s curriculum has been consciously structured to be fun, engaging and challenging, with the level of academic rigour scaling dependent on individual ability.
We deliver all subjects thoughtfully and make links between them that are relevant, inspiring and purposeful.
Learning is engaged with as practically as possible and, as in every other set of year groups, Bede’s teachers bend over backwards to help and really get to know each child as an individual.
Aiming, as we do, for every pupil to achieve the highest possible academic standards, we place heavy emphasis on developing key skills related to literacy and numeracy, and in Years 5 and 6 in particular we scaffold learning to enable children to develop enhanced observational, information-seeking, questioning and problem-solving capabilities.
