Football
The Football Department aims to get the best out of every pupil and provide every player with a football pathway in the future.
At the Prep School the football programme runs during the Autumn Term with boys training at least twice a week and fixtures running on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as an opportunity to trial with the Swerve Senior School Academy on a Thursday evening throughout the academic year. There are additional opportunities for our elite players to train early mornings at the Prep School and Monday evenings at the Senior School. This year, the U13 squad participated in the IAPS National Finals and finished runners-up, out of all competing Prep Schools in the country. (as pictured above).
The Girls Football Programme runs during Activities on a Tuesday, with a training hub on Saturdays and during Games lessons during the Spring Term.
Coaching is led by Kellie Larkin, Head of Football at the Prep School, supported by Director of Football, David Caryer (UEFA A and ISFA coach). Coaches also include ex-professional player, Dan Harding (BHA, Southampton, Ipswich Town) and Director of Swerve Football Academy, Oliver Davies. This integrated approach to coaching supports players in their transition up to the Senior School which offers strength and depth within its football programme.

“I just wanted to express how grateful we feel to have you as my daughter’s coach. Having someone who understands the challenges women face in football, has been through it and who is also an exceptional role model and coach makes all the difference. My daughter is obsessed with football so your passion, dedication and support have made our commitment to this school worthwhile.”
