Hockey

At Bede's Prep, both boys and girls play a term of Hockey.

The Hockey Programme at the Prep School is closely aligned with the Senior School in terms of its philosophy and coaching strategy, facilities and fixture options. We also utilise our close links with Eastbourne Hockey Club. 

Our professional coaching team is made up of Chris Borsoi (Director of Hockey), Robbie Redhead (Assistant Director of Hockey), and Jamie Francis (Prep School Hockey Lead). 

Our girls teams are coached by our staff in the Sussex Junior Development League which runs on Saturdays throughout the winter against a host of Sussex sides and which last year finished third in the league. Playing at this level on a full-size pitch helps transition our players to senior school level play.

The Boys Hockey Programme is split between seniors and juniors with hockey running during Monday and Tuesday Activities respectively as well as on Fridays. During the Spring Term hockey is also played during Games lesson and on Saturday hubs as well as in Activities on Fridays.
