The faculty operates with a "studio culture" ethos, where pupils from Year 9 through to A Level are treated as practitioners. Whether working in the heat of the ceramics kilns, the precision of the DT workshops, or the high-tech digital suites for Media and Photography, students are encouraged to take risks and develop a unique visual voice.
Our curriculum balances traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology:
- Art, Design & Ceramics: Fosters a deep understanding of form, texture, and conceptual thinking, with pupils producing professional-grade portfolios.
- Design Technology: Merges creativity with engineering, utilising CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and traditional woodworking to solve real-world design problems.
